Is this Pre-Men or something else???
I'm 38 and I have been (in the last year) been having night sweats, and some sleepless nights. Didn't think to much of it then the last 6 months been losing some hair, and my periods are anywhere from 20 days apart to 28 days apart. They were not very heavy, then this month it was 19 days from my last and I spotted for 2 days and then on the 3rd day WOW. Then I was done on the 4th day. Very are. Never had that much bleeding/clotting, not even when I had my kids. I am really getting concerned. Any thoughts? -
I just posted for having my period 20 days apart, I am also 38. R U counting start to start or end to start? Do u count spotting? I don't, maybe I should. OBGYN seemed more concerned that I may be pregnant-implantation bleeding-I am not. They said to call if it keeps happening. Symptoms sound like menapause, but u r young, maybe thyroid- throws off hormones. Sounds like period came all in one day- if possible. Do u have OBGYN? I would call see if they think it is OK, I assume not on BCP. Please post me back, I get concerned when things are off too. Any extreme stress? I have this month. -
I count start to start (always have). It did seem to come all in one day/evening. That's what is so strange. Since I had last child 6 years ago, my periods have not been heavy at all and last only 3-4 days and were every 25/28 days apart. That was great...now that it is so different I got really scared. I do have an appt. with OBGYN at the first of the year. Hopefully get things figured out. I just hate waiting that long. Stress???? Who doesn't anymore? LOL! Not anything unusual though..Comment

I know what you mean about getting scared, I always figure if my period is regular I am healthy! from this site, I think the "norm" is to be irregular, maybe we should count ourselves lucky that we are so scheduled, if we were irregular then it would seem "normal".
I have heard that ovulation predicts time of period, maybe we are ovulating early due to age! R the night sweats consistant? I heard it can happen w/ hormone changes, maybe sweats r around period? Keep track best you can to tell OBGYN. Keep in touch, most people here are much younger or in menapause, would like to hear what she says about pre-menapause.
