    Is it Normal?

Is it normal to only have your period for 2 to 3 days? I use to have my period for 7 days and it change on me about 2 years ago. I've been to the OBGYN, but I get really nervous when I'm there and always forget to ask her if it is normal. Also, does this mean I have less of a chance of having children?

I would say be sure to write a note when you go see the OBGYN. You pay them for their knowledge. Feel free to always ask them.

When I first started having my period, I also had it for a week. Now it's sometimes 4 days sometimes 5. I changed after I became sexually active & I have never been on birth control.

From what I hear, even some women who have their periods like twice a year can get pregnant so I doubt that is an issue at all.

As long as it is normal for you now to have your period for only 2-3 days, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

For instance, when I was younger my period would last for only 2-3 days, then it would stop for a day and go one more day. I went to the dr. about it and they told me that as long as it is regular for my period to do that, it was normal.

It might also be helpful to take birth control. I started taking the pill 3 years ago and my periods have extended a little bit. Now my period will go from a wednesday till saturday, then stop until monday morning. Monday will be a light day, and it will be done. You might want to double check with your dr, although I wouldn't worry too much if it's regular for your body.

Women's bleeding can vary between 2 and 10 days. 7 days is just an average out of studies of women. As long as your periods come regularly then you should be fine.

How many days you bleed does not make you any less fertile unless you aren't bleeding at all, then you should be worried.
