Bacterial Vaginosis
Can a female get a vaginal infection from self penetration (with fingers)? I have had a skin yeast infection, (aka - diabetic rash), could the skin yeast infection have spread inside my vagina (while self - penetration with fingers )? This is not a question I would normally ask online, but I do not want to go to a GBYN. What can I do to treat it? Please no negativity, this is a really difficult question to ask, and not one I enjoy sharing. -
Baterial Vaginosis (from reading up on it) states at any given time, 10% - 64% of women suffer from it. (It increases in women whom have diabetes)skin yeast infection, (aka - diabetic rash), could the skin yeast infection have spread inside my vagina
If left untreated, you can end up with PID, Pelvic Inflamatory Decease.
So i don't believe that by you touching yourself, that you are spreading it, it appears to just be an additional problem for you, having diabetes, it spreads on it's own.
However, other things you need to consider is how clean your fingers are before you begin, (germs) love spreading..
Also to consider is if any of your soaps or washing powders are contributing to the situation.
Suprisingly, douching on-going seems to not be recommended, and it is stated that you should not do so at least 4 - 5 days before visiting your gynocologist as it hides the symptoms.
Some here onf the Forum have recommended Diflucan as an option... This medication is listed as it can cause reactions, nausea, headaches and liver failure, so it is recommended to speak to your Doctor about other options.
First step is to have a pap smear so that you can be properly diagnosed as to whether this is the condition you have, should consist of discharge/odor/irritation/itchiness...
But, only a lab test can determine if you have Bacterical Vaginosis. Or, whether it is something different.
Poor heigine, IUD's, routine vaginal douching can also be a cause.
So, think about what you do so you can advise your Doctor before you go.
It's important that you do go, as I said, research shows that left un-treated it can create pelvic problems... PID.
Hope this helps you further.

Diabetic Factor
So can having diabities possibly cause this? So your saying... The Masterbation did not contribute to the infection (cause it to spread)? If I go to a GBYN, can they tell if I have Masterbaited (self - penetrated) myself? I am still a virgin, I wouldn't want them to think otherwise.Comment

According to what I read on your behalf, after your visitor's message, yes... Women with diabeties are known to also have vaginosis.
Nothing to do with masterbation.
If your a Virgin, chances are you haven't broken your hyman, and they are not even looking at that, all they will do is take a swab of your discharge and then put that into a jar and send it off for test, a tad uncomfortable but it doesn't hurt at all.
You'll be fine.
