    Worried about ovary cyst

Im hoping someone can help me with this, any help would be gratefully recieved. Im 34yrs old with one child. I have been expeirencing heavy periods, flooding and alot of pain during and between my periods, at my lower back, pelvic area, top of thighs, even though i can open my bowels in alot of pain after, syptoms just like very bad period pain. So my doctor referred me for an ultra sound at private clinic as an nhs paitent. I had the ultrasound scan done, the lady said that my uterus was fine, but never mentioned anything else. I got a letter from my doctor with my scan pictures saying that he had my results saying ultrasound had found a right ovarian cyst and was referring my to gynae clinic, i go there on 2rd July. The scan pictures that were took were One of my Left Adnexa, One of my Right Adnexa, 3 of my Right Ovary, 3 of my left ovary, One of my Cervix Long, 2 of my Uterus Long, One of my Uterus Trans and One of my Endometrium. Doctor sent them to me as ive have to give them to doctor at gynae clinic. The Scans of the cyst on my right ovary there is white dotted lines outlining it and its an uneven shape, is that the cyst?? But on the scan of my left ovary and cervix is the white dotted lines again. On the left ovary the shape is bigger and uneven with a grey shadow in it. And my cervix has a small black shape where white dots are. What do these dots mean as there have shown up on left and on cervix. Have no dotted lines on any other of my scan pictures. I know i have to wait to see what doctors says. But im worried, as i already had a breast scare this year had to have breast biopys, thankfully it was fine. Think im worried more about the left ovary and cervix scan as i already know i have cyst on right.

    Thank you

The outlines could just have been references anatomical points within the image, so that the referral doctor can better visualize what he/she is looking at. I had an ovarian cyst when I was 15. My doctors told me it was small enough that surgical removal was not needed. I was put on medication and it dissolved on its own. I had follow up ultrasounds done and everything was fine.

Just try to relax, your doctors will keep you well informed.

I think you are worrying way to much and over analyzing the situation. You did the right thing going to your doctor and he will tell you what comes next, maybe a course of pills, etc., Cysts are very common but can be painful, some women never know they have them at all. Take care and listen to your doctor. Above all stop worrying so much.
