What do you do when you get your period when your about to go somewhere important? for like a long period of time?
yes pack stuff,
but lets say the beach, like this past weekend, i was on my period, & we always go to the beach every weekend. & there is not bathroom there. its the ocean, so if we gotta pee, we pee there. I do not pee in the pool though, thats disgusting. but back to the point, like i had a tampon in but it was the 3rd day of it, so it was almost gone but still was there.. get it. I had just gotten home in time cuz the tampon was completely used & looks like it shoulda been taken out like a half hour ago or something.
Or like when you go to a friends house. i normally dont bring nothing to a friends house. or just a purse with like whatever in it. but its kinda embarrassing to like go grab your purse at a home & go to the bathroom.. like i feel so embarrassed. should i just get over it & if they say anything tell them, hey its life, every girl has it. ?

Are there any out houses or places to change your clothes at the beach?
I was embarrassed also when I was younger to go change my pad which is even worse cuz I didn't wear tampons then and still don't now. But whats even worse is if you leak and someone sees it. Just carry a little purse with you all the time and always have a tampon hiddin awy in the inside pocket. If someone asks maybe you can say you have money in your purse and don't want to leave it just laying around when you go to the bathroom.
Not sure if this helps any. I just know how much I suffered with that same thing when I was your age.

It does help, & makes me feel better that I'm not the only one. Yes ive had it happen to me, it leaked before. I've gotten better at taking care of myself that way, but there are times when im out & i just dont have anything.
Yes yes i have been looking into getting one of them.. wristlits.. i think they are called.. i just cant find any i like.. one: that look good. two: that im shore anything i have in there will not fall out.

I use something called a Diva Cup..just do a quick search for it. It's made from medical grade silicon and can be used doing most anything. I've used it at the gym, hiking, and swimming. It's a flexible cup you insert. It has tiny holes around the top so that when you put it in and give it a slight turn per the instructions, it creates a seal. No leaks! Yaaay! Also, I find it to be far superior to tampons as far as the feel and comfort. When I'm using it, I hardly realize I'm on my period at all unless it's time to clean up. You can insert it in the morning and use it all day long without needing to remove/empty it, even on your heaviest days. I suppose if you don't like blood this will not be the device for you. However, all you really have to do is remove it, poor directly into the toilet and rinse with warm water before reusing. When your period is over, soak it in rubbing alcohol to help remove any red stain from the material. It's about $30..or was when I bought mine. You can easily use these for yeeeears. I've had mine for at least 4 years...so think of all the emergency trips to the store you'll never have to make again, all the money you'll save not buying tampons, and all the stress you won't have to go through worrying about whether or not you'll enjoy your vacation during your period!

Do make sure are following product instructions for how long you leave it in, whether the cup or a tampon. Toxic Shock is no joke and can debilitate or kill you.

In regards to TSS, the website has this to say:

"Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is considered a serious and sometimes fatal disease caused by toxin-producing strains of the Staphylococcus aureus bacterium. In other words, you will not get TSS from the divacup..but you should consult your doctor if you've ever experienced it or if you have any other concerns about using a divacup.
