    Itching on Vulva

Has anyone else has itching on the outside of the vulva? I've googled it and come up with a bunch of different possiblities but none of them seem to be what I have. I'm sure I don't have an STI as I've been tested and then waited six months without having sex and tested again. My symptoms are that I just sometimes get itching on my right side only and it can get red and puffy if I scratch it but there are no bumps, raised skin, flakes, scales, sores, etc. It just itches! Then, after a few hours it goes away. It only flares up every few months or so. I haven't kept track of the actual dates so I don't know if there is a pattern. But it doesn't seem to be happening at regular intervals. Has anyone else experienced this? What could it be? I'm about to go and get tested again (the full test for all STIs, infections, yeast, etc.) but am wondering if I will just be wasting my time and money if it's something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you soooo much in advance!

No one has been able to tell me what it is yet but when/if i find out I will let you know. Mine is only on the right side too. It seems to happen more at night but mine are very frequent almost everyday.

google lichen sclerosis -it is an autoimmune disorder that can be stimulated by many things
I finally was refered to a great dermatologist and vulvologist. They concurred that while not diagnosed by biopsy, it presented as Atopic Lichen Sclerosis. A superpotent cortisone ugt was prescribed, but I developed cracking perineal skin from that. I am now on Elidil cream and doing great. Also on vagifem suppositories 2 times per week, to help estrogen replacement of menopause. The vulvologist told me that having urinary frequency, urgency and urinary leakage is common and must be under control to promote good skin health. Cotton underwear, washing undergarments in baby soap product help. Avoid wearing tight clothing as that irritates the skin and can prompt symptoms. This all started with a burn from KY warming lotion, followed by yeast infections that I have to be very aware of,and get treatment immediately.
