I had a pregnancy scare about 2 or 3 weeks ago. And now I have this weird discharge that doesnt seem normal to me. I dont know if I might be pregnant. But its not like a normal discharge. sorry to give details but its brown and somewhat runny. I am taking birth control and am suppose to be having my period coming this next week. But i'm wondering if its something i should be worried about. I'm only 18 and hoping i'm not pregnant. My boyfriend is leaving for 7 months!! Please help!! Thank you!!

It may be part of a light irregular period. Blood turns to a dark brown color as it ages. So old blood will look brown. It then mixes with normal discharge and people mistake it for something else.

Unless it either has a very foul or fishy odor, greenish color, or is causing itching and irritation, then I do not think it is an infection.
