I had been having symtoms of itchyness,burning on my vaginal Lips and it looked irritated with a pee/sweat smell odor on Sept 9th. I went Sept 17th to my Doctor and was told I had a Yeast Infection. I wasn't satified with that so on the 22nd I went and saw a Friend Doctor that tested me for STDs and BV, Yeast. I had been having questions on wether my Husband had cheated on me or not. She put me on Cipro for 7 days and a few days Later I got my test results back, they were all Negative. I did have a Yeast Infection and on the Microscope slide she did see a lot of white blood cells, so there is sme kind of Infection there. The Cipro didn't clear the green/yellow discharge I was having, so she put me on Flagyl 500mg 3x a day for 7 days. I have today and tomorrow left. My questions are when does the discharge stop? It's not green/yellow just yellow/white now and only happens usually in the morning. Should I get another week of treatment with the Flagyl or could it be a different kind of infection? My husband and I have had anal/vaginal cross contamination and could that be where the Infection came from?

That could do it, that's why it's so heavily recommended that you either use a condom for anal or make it the last stop.

so you don't know when the discharge might stop and on wether or not I should have another 7 day treatment of Flagyl or not??

mermer, what Wildchild said was correct, if your having anal and then, vaginal sex with no condoms, your placing bacteria into your vagina and causing a yeast infection... The yellow discharge now only being, there in the morning suggests that Flagyl is working fine.

If in a couple of days it's still there, certainly go back and tell your Doctor, you may need to go on it a bit longer, in the meantime, natural yoghurt is also good to put there.

What you should stop is the anal and then vaginal sex without a condom... He should use one at least for Anal, whether he likes it or not..

To CW: Tomorrow I will take my last Flagyl pill, seeing how when I got my prescription I only had time to take 2 in one day. I just looked again like I have been getting into a routine of doing and there is still some discharge thats sticky,stringy,snot looking. No Odor though. I will be starting my period like Tuesday or Wednesday. Should I wait and see if I have any discharge after my period cleans me out?? Or just call my doctor and have her prescribe another round of Meds?? Also, Should I have a blood test done to see for sure if it's not any kind of STDs?
