please someone help me.. im scared at what this means
im only 16 and have just recently became sexually active. i have been on the birthcontrol pill for almost 5 months now. even before it my periods were very regular maybe off only by a day or so. but today i started having what looked like another period.. except i shouldnt be having one for another two weeks. i never forget to take my pills and am worried about what this could be. ive never had "spotting" before, and i dont really know what it is except pregnant women get them.
please help me. -
Hello sweet,
Spotting occurs for many reasons:-
. Deeper penetration than usual during sex.
. Stress.
. Hormone levels changing.
. Pill dose may not agree with your body.
It's actually, unfortunately, very normal for a woman... It's when you have no blood what so ever for a long period of time that you should be more concerned.
You take the pill religiously. Don't worry about it.
If it concerns you too much mentally, then make an appointment to see your Doctor, and discuss it with him/her.

You should take it every day at the EXACT same time. You can't even be 30 minutes off or you could have spotting, cramping, you could even just start your period if you constantly forget to take the pill at a certain time. That is the part I hate, lol. If you take them like you're suppose to, you it should even notice lighter or shorter periods depending on your body.Comment
