Bacterial Vaginosis
I was diagnoised with bacterials vaginosis last week. I thought it was a yeast infection and treated myself for it..then went to the gyno and found out it was BV. My doctor prescribed me Metronidazole Vaginal Gel and told me to use for 5 nights. I had sex 3 days after my last treatment with this and the day after I had sex, i experienced a little itching. How many days after my last treatment was i suppose to wait until I had sex? Also, if I experiece more itching, should I treat myself again? Any help about this would be great!! THANKS!

If you're experiencing itching, you should go back and see the doc--the antibiotics used to treat BV can give you a yeast infection, and since it started up after you finished them that would be my first guess. But if you're not 100% sure of what it is, you don't want to treat it until you find out.Comment
