worried mad! please help!
Please Help my mom has very heavy bleeding and it's been non stop for 2 weeks..its still going on now! She went to a doctor and he told her it was ''normal'' and will schedule another appointment for her. He also prescribed medicines such as anti-inflammation or something. I am really worried about her. I don't think they are fibroids because she is at healthy weight, eats a lot of fruit and veg, shes a very healthy person. She is over 45, so could this relate to menopause? She never had anything like this before. She had this going on after her period, which she thought was over. Please give me answers I am really worried and love her

This does often happen as women approach menopause. I experienced it and so have two of my sisters. It's odd, you would think that as the body is getting ready to quit menstrating, periods would become lighter and further apart but actually just the opposite usually happens, they get heavier and closer together.
Here is one of many past threads talking about this.
Your mom will have to follow up with the doctor, it sounds like she may going through something very much like what I did. Maybe show her this thread?
I feel that the ablation was really good choice for me, it's been a year now and I've been feeling great!
