I came down with my first yeast infection about 5 days ago. I went to the drug store and bought the 1-day Canesten treatment. Afterward, I noticed a large amount of swelling, tenderness, rawness and itching that lasted a few days after the infection itself seemed to be cleared. The most worrying part was some medium-to-heavy vaginal bleeding. These symptoms are still occurring. I went to a walk-in clinic to ensure I was not experiencing an allergic reaction to the Canesten. The doctor, without having taken a look or even asking many questions of me apart from what I told him, called in a prescription. I picked it up to find another single-dose treatment, this time oral, for the yeast infection. This seems strange to me, as I believe I had a reaction to the first one, and also believe the infection itself has been cleared up. What should I do?
I know this was rather long-winded, so thanks to anyone for reading and/or responding to my question

Full disclosure: The week before the infection I was on antibiotics for a chest infection, and these were likely the cause of the infection. Also, though this may have nothing to do with anything, I thought I should mention that I took a 'Plan B' pill ("morning after" pill) as well during the course of my antibiotics. It was my first time taking 'Plan B'.
