A few years, which means...(approximate number of years, is...?)

Aside from being annoying, is it painful?

Do you have unusual discharge, or irritation/itchiness, smelly odor?

Did the size remain the same since you first noticed it?

Consider answering these questions, then consult your doctor.

Possibly a skin tag? If it is a 'pimple' like thing.

Google skin tag and look at some pictures.

        Vaginal pimple, Bartholemews Gland

Bartholemews Gland....it's a gland in your labia that can become infected. Keep warm clothes on it to depress the size. It usually goes away on its own, but comes back too!
sometimes you can have it 'lanced' which is painful. Check the pimple in a mirror. If it has a whitehead, you can put a warm cloth on it for a few minutes and then squeeze GENTLY. If it's infected, puss comes out.
You should go to the doctor!
PS I never had the "surgery" my gynecologist recommened. It's not that big of a deal...you just HAVE to keep a warm cloth on it when it flares up.

It could be a little cyst too. A GYN will be able tell you jsut what it is and what, if anything, to do about it.

I would suggest you to go to the doctor.
Do you have any other symptoms or it just bothers you because it is there?
Tell your problem to the doctor and the doctor can even send you to a gynecologist. It can be numerous different things such as skin tag, cyst, Bartholomeus gland. The only way you will really find out the exact cause is if you tell it to your doctor. If you are uncomfortable to go to the doctors by your self you can always ask your mother to come with you or even a close friend.

            Kathy,
