    I'm just venting...I can't understand what's happening!

So I'm 28 and I am very proud to be a virgin. I only say it that way not to come off judgy but you would not BELIEVE some to the looks that get...from pity to disgust...its just really disheartening that some many don't respect a womans decision to not sleep with just anybody, especially nowadays. My not being sexually active is relavant to my problem because a few days ago I go what I thought was an ingrown hair on the upper right side of my vagina...it was kind of itching and painful to scratch. I finally went and got some vagisil and it seemed to help for about 6 hours and then the itching started spreading and until finally 1 day later my whole area was itching and on fire! It's like I have the chicken pox you know how your not suppose to scratch but oh my gracious it feels so good to scratch. The only thing is that the burning is much worse after. Now every hour and half I have to go to the bathroom and rinse with a warm papertowel and then reapply the cream...which by the by is burning like a mofo! My whole area is really red and raw and still even as I'm typing I'm fighting the urge to just take a brillo brush and just scratch to my hearts content. I mean honestly who does this happen to! It's like I sat in poison ivy and then got a sunburn. Please please please don't think I'm gross...I just have never ever ever had this kind of problem...its so awkward too cause I'm afraid at work someone may accidentally walk in on me and think I'm just totally goin to town on myself, cause that what if looks like, but really I just going crazy trying to scratch this crazy intense itch! (Sigh) I feel better getting to talk it out. I have a doc appt tomorrow hopefully cause I don't think i can last another day like this. I told my mom to just take the frying pan and put me out of my misery...she refused

Anywho, I know this is just a silly thing but it really is driving me crazy. I do pray that everyone else who are having way worse issues than me get them taken care of and have loved ones to support them! Thanks for listening

I can understand the frustration, vaginal problems are NOT fun!!

That's great that you're going to a doctor, seems to be the best option at this point. I go to the doc as soon as I find anything abnormal in that area, since over the counter and home remedies just aren't always reliable.

I myself am not sure what this is, but looking forward to getting an answer tomorrow should help get you through today.

Have you taken Vagisil before without any problems? Some people have allergic reactions to the cream, and that could be making the redness and the itching a whole lot worse.

Hey so I just got back from the doctor and it turns out I have bacterial infection which by the way I was making worse by using vagisil and fem wash. Apparently there is a difference for fungal and bacterial infections. I got 2 antibiotics and so we'll see what happens from there. Thanks for being so cool guys Im not feeling any relief yet but doc said by Friday I should see and feel a difference...now if only I can wait til then.
