Is something wrong with me? Please help

    Hiya
Okay so please bear with me as i'm new to this

I'll just give you a brief background, i'm 18, in my last year of school, and still a virgin. I've had a late period, and so i can definitely rule out that i am NOT pregnant. However, in December, i think that's when i had my last period. I had exams in January and was really stressed out, so i wasn't surprised when i didnt have my period. However i was expecting my period this month a few days ago...I've been PMS i think. I've been moody, and crying, i have sore nipples, and i've had what feels like period pains. The other day, roughly 2days ago, i went to the toilet and found white discharge in my knickers, i was slightly relieved cause i thought that i was due my period. However, today i went to the toilet and saw some kind of brown discharge, and i didn't know what it was. Infact i thought it was the start to my period, but nothing really happened and i haven't actually been bleeding properly. I'm just starting to get a little worried and i dont know what it is that my body is telling me someone please tell me i'd be ever so grateful.

    I think you can relax......

If you're stressed out (and sometimes other factors) can prevent you from having a full-blown menstrual cycle.

My cycles are often non-existant (I'm 42). I also get that brown gooey substance. I believe that is an old blood clot that works its way out of your system. Sooo, in a sense....that IS your period (the brown stuff).
I'm on the pill and often when I see that brown gooey stuff - I can relax - knowing my period has arrived (just not in blood form).

Obviously, if you're that worried...talk to your doctor.

Your stresses. Definitely one of the causes of a delayed period. Just relax, breathe, take some time to yourself and do something you enjoy.

The brown discharge, more than likely old blood. It happens to us all at one time or another.

Spotting is generally normal, some women spot, some don't.

White discharge can be an assortment of things, signs that you are ovulating, an infection, etc.

          Does it smell, burn, itch?

            What does spotting actually mean?

And it doesn't smell, nothing hurts or anything of the sort. It's just there.

Did you have regular periods before, at any time? Do you keep track of your cycle? If so, the day you would expect it to commence, start drinking ginger root tea or make yourself some ginger cookies or ginger bread using a generous amount of grated ginger root. This should jump start your period. Use the ginger for a couple of days to get it and keep it going.
After a few months of this you should have your period regulated.
