Missed period
Last monday i went to the doctor and i had bronchitis and they gave me amoxicillin 500 and Methylprednisolone. I read that you could have problems if you take your birth control while taking the Methylprednisolone. So i havent been taking it.. and from my amoxicillin i got a yeast infection. and im taking medicine for that now. I was suppose to start my period tuesday at least that is when it usually starts cause i would of been on the last week of my pill packet. and i have not started it. do you think that the medicine caused me to miss a period? And should i start taking my birth control now or wait till i get over the yeast infection? -
well right now im still finishing my amoxicillin and taking my pills for my yeast infection its phenazopyridine for the symptons of the yeast infection and then i took a antibiotic im not for sure what the name was. its a pill that you just take for one day n it stays in your system for so long..Comment

All different reasons for a missed period, could be the sickness, antibiotics, etc. With that said, if you have a reason to think you may be pregnant, take a test. If it is negative, continue taking your BC pills even if you are still sick. If you stop taking them until you are better, then you have to use backup contraception for a month.Comment

There are many potential causes of missing periods, including illness, antibiotic use, etc. Take a pregnancy test, then, if you have a reason to believe you might be pregnant. Even if you are still ill, take your BC pills if the test is negative. You must use backup contraception for a month if you stop taking them until you feel better.Comment
