    What is this thing??!

Okay, to start off, I'm 19 years old and a virgin.
I've never been to my gynecologist yet because I've never really had problems or concerns until now, so I've never bothered with going.

So my boyfriends the one that pointed it out..

We were messing around one night and he was fingering me, and he said, "babe what's that lump?"
And I didn't feel him touching anything...nothing hurt...everything felt just fine

So I checked it out myself and sure enough, about 3 inches inside on my frontal wall (belly button side) there is a lump. It's not hard, but it's not soft. And when I push on it, it moves but doesn't hurt a bit. I barely even feel it. It's small...I'd say like the tip of a finger, or the tip of a nose.

I'm kind of concerned because I've been reading, and think it could possibly be my cervix?
But it's just not where I pictured my cervix to be.

And secondly, aren't cervix supposed to be facing down? This isn't. The "pointy" thing I'm feeling faces the other side of my vagina...not down.

And it's really low! My finger is small, and I can still feel it when I put it in there.

Does anyone have any clue what this could be?
Should I go to the doctor?
I guess a good sign is that there is no pain...

    It could be a cyst.

It is a good idea to go to the Dr. Even if you are not sexually active, I believe the recommended age is 18.

Get an appointment scheduled and be seen. It will put your mind at ease, reading all the possibilities of what it may or may not be on the internet is kind of mentally draining.

    Welcome to the forum!

      You're right...
I should go to the doctor just to put my mind at ease.

      Are cysts dangerous though?

Is there any possible way that it COULD be my cervix?

Your cervix is not part of your vaginal wall

          WC is right.

I had a cyst. Bartholins Gland Cyst. It wasn't dangerous, but getting it taken care of was very unpleasant, plus the cyst itself hurt so bad.

Go to the Dr. I'm sure you will be fine.

yes, but there is no pain at all.

            Wouldn't cysts hurt?

I can touch it, poke it, move it around...there's no pain...

Not all cysts hurt. In fact, I read the Bartholins Gland Cyst doesn't hurt until it gets a certain size, over 1 inch, mine was the size of a golf ball and it hurt like the dickens.

There are quit a few glands in the vagina that aide in lubrication, etc. The chances of one of them getting blocked at one point or another isn't all that uncommon.

Well I forgot to mention in my original post, that I've felt this for as long as I can remember...

When I've been with myself, I've felt it, but just forgot about it because it never caused any kind of problems..

But when my boyfriend pointed it out...I thought maybe I should get some answers..lol

                Now I'm all paranoid

It definitely doesn't hurt to get it looked at. It may be nothing (especially if you've always felt it), which would be good, but it's best to find out.

I'm a firm believer that if there is anything unusual with the vagina like bumps, odors, etc. Always error on the side of caution and head to the Dr.
