hi,im very concerned i missed 2 days of my pill when i rem i took both at same time,(iv done that before with no side effects)and then just followed on with the pack as normal,that was 2wks ago today ..that evening i started to get cramps and the next day had brown blood and some clots it was very slight no need for pad/tampax it was only when i wiped,that has lasted 2 wks i still have it today,and iv had cramping on and off aswell,i finished my pill yesterday so should be due period in the next few days,my concern is that every site iv looked at about brown discharge has all said its a early pregnancy sign! i really dont think i am but im just wondering if this has happenend to anybody else,im on the pill 10yrs and have missed one or two then doubled up and never experienced this...any thoughts?

Brown discharge is not just a pregnancy sign. It can be old blood too, it happens from time to time and isn't really anything to fret over.

I too missed pills all the time and doubled up and was fine, but for others, it hasn't worked, so you never really know.

Did you have sex around the time that you missed the pills? Take a pregnancy test in a few days if you don't get your period. Until then, try not to overly stress about it.

no we dident have sex when i missed the pills and we havent since because i was worried,im going to see the doc on tuesday and hopefully it'll all be grand! thanx for reply

Oh, then, I think you are definitely fine. If you haven't had sex, no worries, just spotting, old blood, etc. When you miss the pills, then pump up your body with the extra ones, something is bound to go a little haywire at one point or another.
