    Missing Period

I really need advice on this one, other than go see a doctor. I am 21 and in March I had my tonsils out, I had my period in March. Due to the surgery I was not able to eat so I lost about 20ish lbs. In April I had some light light bleeding for maybe a day or two, I don't really remember but then May, June and now July I have not had my period at all. I am somewhat nervous about this. Any advice from anyone would be great!

    Thanks.

Losing a large amount of weight like that can cause one to miss periods. Your body is not adjusted to the changes and will need to become balanced in order for you to get your periods back on track.

It isn't abnormal for younger women (under 24) to have irregular periods. If you are below weight, it definitely can effect your cycle. Also, losing 20 pounds rapidly can put stress on the body which leads me to .....Chronic stress, surgery and other things can throw your cycle off as well.
        Good luck!
