i'm going to this 6 day long outdoor festival next week. i was SO nervous i would get my period during it, but i realized i was counting wrong and i would be fine.
then for whatever reason, i was a week late last month so now i'll get my period during this festival. the first day, to be exact, which just sucks.

there are some port-o-pottys there but they are far away from the campsite so usually everyone just pees off in a bush somewhere
and there are legit bathrooms but those are even further away.

how should i go about dealing with this?
my period is usually only relatively heavy on the first 2 days. i've found that having sex on the first day of my period makes it much lighter for the whole 4 or 5 days (actually, when i found that out, my period only lasted like 3 days) but if i get it after i'm already at the festival that won't be an option.

also i know there probably isnt but is there any way to get it to start earlier? i just dont want to have to deal with the first couple days while at this festival

Get some travel size tampons and cope best you can. It's a bummer but it is what it is. You can carry a little zip lock baggie with baby wipes and tampons so you're prepared and maybe get some pantie liners just in case you have to go a long time in between changing.

For me sex has never helped me start my period any earlierbut it is still fun. In regards to your period I agree some Tampax portables and some panty liners. If you wore a fanny pack you could stick the used tampons in a bag and dispose of them when you get back to the toliets. It is always amazing when your period decides to come when you really don't want it then.
