    not sure whats up...??? help?

Sooo, about a month or two ago I noticed their was this yellowish-white stuff that was stuck in the hair down there, and so I combed it out as best I could and figured it was normal. But today when I went to the bathroom there was a, I guess, wet spot on my underwear? I knew I hadn't wet my pants or anything, and I changed and it happened again later. It's also been a little itchy down there and it kind of smells. I don't think I have yeast infection, which I keep hearing about, but I don't know if I have some kind of infection or what...
I haven't started my period yet and I'm wondering, is this normal? Is it that discharge your supposed to get before your period? Helpmehelpehelpme! Also, are you supposed to clean down there or anything?

You're supposed to wash down there with water or use some kind of plain soap, though some people will say to stay away from soap altogether since it might irritate the vagina or mess with the ph balance.

Any time you have a strange and SMELLY discharge, that indicates that you might have an infection. Why are you sure it's not yeast?

A little discharge every now and then can be normal, but if it is smelly, I'd see a gynecologist to check you for an infection. You could also try probiotic pills (the good germs in yogurt, only in a pill that supposedly reaches where it needs to) and see if it goes away. You will probably start your period soon, since I remember starting to see discharge sometimes a few months before I got my first one (that was over a decade ago- whew I feel old now lol!) Anyway, if all else fails, see a doctor.

Oh and yes you're supposed to wash there frequently, and if it itches (I didn't read carefully enough first go round) it probably is an infection. You should probably see a doctor.
