    Ezcema on Vagina

My entire genital area (including inner thighs) is covered in Ezcema. Can it cause me problems on the inside as well, if it is on the outside?

    Sounds miserable.
Your vagina is inside the outer area is the labia. You should consult a dermatologist and take sugar and refined flour out of your diet.

It's all on the outside, but alllll over, and bad on the edges of the "lips". I have taken sugar out, but not white flour yet.
I'm just wondering if it can affect the inside? Like cause infections?

        Hey..
        I feel your pain,
(some of this may be gross but I hope it helps)

I have psorisis and it is affecting the area above my genitals and the same areas in between thighs etc..
I am not sure if your overweight but I am and it does cause that area to get infected.. I would make sure to clean the area -daily if possible with a moisturized body wash that hopefully does NOT have fragrance.. This is hard to find but, Aveeno has one without fragrance.
Basically what happens in my case is.. I scratch it is open and with friction and moisture down in that region whether it is sweat or just the moisture from being opened.. Then it can either be infected and even smell funny... The worst part of this all is do we as women need ANOTHER reason for our genital area to smell weird? I am so angry because this skin condition I have ONLY had since I was 23 and now I am 26 and it goes away it comes back and now I am having pains after climax too!

Basically, keep the area clean and ONLY use the body wash on the outside of your genitals.. On the inside try to use a soft cloth with warm water- If you get it on the inside the dry skin I mean... I do not have it inside but on the upper "hood" area and above my vagina technical term I think is the Mons pubis (I call it the hump lol) it drives me NUTS!

Anyways.. I have seen my OB recently and didn't mention anything about a yeast infection but, I am scared that I my have gotten a UTI because of this .. Just be CAREFUL after sex & take a shower if possible right away especially if he climaxes in you!

Also... PLEASE visit a GYN they should be able to help your more & IF YOUR SURE It is Eczema make sure to see a DERMATOLOGIST!!! (I still have to at some point) then you need to see a doctor anyways.. IF it is psoriasis you will KNOW it because you will have it in OTHER places

Thanks for your time & GOOD LUCK!
This is a horrible thing to have to deal with I completely understand!
