    Vaginal Physiology Question

I am a virgin, but I dont think my hymen is intact anymore. I looked down there with a mirror and I dont think I see the hymen, but then again Im not positive about what Im looking at. I think I may have stretched the hymen when I first started using tampons a few years ago. Am I still considered a virgin without a hymen even though I have never had sex? Also, the area around the vaginal opening seems jagged, not a perfect circle. Is this normal or is everyone different? Also, there is a red bump right outside the vagina hole and it is sore to touch that area. What does this mean? Can the hymen stretch without breaking?

Yes the hymen can stretch without breaking, or it can tear just partially from, tampon use or some other activity. Labia, vaginas and hymens vary widely in shape, size and appearance. I'll bet yours is prefectly normal, good on you taking a look to see what you have !
