    so confused, thoughts please!

    Hello,

I am new to the forums but do not know who else to ask regarding this. Maybe someone here has been through this and will have some thoughts on what is going on.

My boyfriend is in the military and came home and foolishly we had unprotected sex (he pulled out each time- yes I know it is not good!) the week of November 21st to the 27th. I had my period normally early on in November, if I remember correctly it was in the first week.

Fast forward to now, and the days leading up to my period...I had brown discharge, sore boobs, and menstrual cramps for 2-3 days before my period came. My period came when it was supposed to (technically the bleeding started on the 4th of December) and has been normal up until today when I noticed my flow is not what it normally is. There is still evident blood, and no pink or brown discharge, but just not a good flow. Between the 4th and 6th the flow was normal and regular. The night I started my period (I was so worried about the brown discharge thinking it was implantation bleeding) I took a pregnancy test that was negative, and then conveniently that night my period started.

From the end of November to now, is that enough time to get pregnant? I looked and if the calendar I used was right, I should have been ovulating the week previous to the week I had unprotected sex. Could this be implantation bleeding, or just an abnormal period? Previous to having this sex I had it once in October and then had not been sexually active for 3 years. Should I take another pregnancy test, or should I not be too concerned because my period came on time? I should mention that I have not been eating or sleeping very well (personal issues) and have been quite stressed lately. Could that have an effect?

    Please, any thoughts? Thanks

Stress can have an effect. It's too late for plan B. You are probably not pregnant but you're just going to have to wait a bit and retest.

Should I go to the Doctor? Normally my periods last 5 -6 days, so technically tomorrow would be 8 days (with 2-3 of brown discharge prior) so the length would be like a regular period, just not the flow. When can I re-test with a home pregnancy test?

Oops, sorry I meant tomorrow would be 5 days since the technical bleeding started.
