I had soaped up a rag early last week with a bar of dove moisturizing soap and about 2 days later started experiencing cervical pain. On a scale of 1-10 I would say the pain is a 1 and if I take aspirin it goes away. It is not constant pain, it comes and goes, it seems to start at night and sometimes in the morning.I think it started Thursday

I had never used soap down there before and for some reason decided to and no this pain has started, could it be the soap that caused this? If it is will it just go away or do I need to buy something to get rid of it? I am due to get my period on the 14th

I do not have insurance nor is there a free clinic near me.

Your cervix is loceted up inside your vagina. Are you certain that you aren't refering to some other part of your body, such as your vulva or labia?

Although you shouldn't soap it that way..the most pain i'd think of with soap is just some itching burning or irritation of the vulva or labia. Yeast infection or BV infection.

Other than that if its actual a pain with the cervix it could be something with your periods or Cervicitis which is inflammation of the cervix, if its in your cervix you really need to be getting a papsmear, this is not good to avoid. Do you have a planned parenthood? They are cheap to free for people without insurance. No matter if this pain goes away or not...being able to get a papsmear is VERY important, you never know what can go wrong.

Also once I went to a doctor and he just billed me and I paid it that way. Sometimes you have to buckle down and go in it's your health at risk. IF you cant find a planned parenthood to get too or at least drive to the closest one in your area, then call a gyno and see how there bill pay works for a papsmear.

The pain was down near the opening down there. It seems to have went away, have not had any pain since Monday morning

My mom said she has had pain down there as well and it is nothing to worry about if the pain is not serious and if aspirin can take care of it.

There is no planned parenthood near me and no doctor will see you around here unless you can provide proof of income so that they know you will pay or you have insurance. The hospital is a joke, I had went once and if you have an unpaid bill they will not see you until that bill is paid and my bill is like $300 some

Well in a town like that I'd have to move, my health is a priority I'd want to be near at least a planned parenthood for when or if something goes wrong. I'm not sure what your going to do if a real emergency happens with a unpaid bill and nothing else to back you up. I'm glad it went away but you should get yearly pap smears women go un-noticed for cancer and many problems to only find out its to late and possible could of been caught early. Age is not a factor! Glad your well.
