    first time visit...

i am 24 and have never had a visit to the obgyn.
i've had a lot of people in my life die from cancer and am worried to get checked out for fear of the unknown mostly.

any information on the process or statistics of people of my age getting ovarian cancer or cervical cancer would be very helpful.

    or even encouragment.

    thanks.

My first thought is... Please find a good gynecologist and see them every year. It's better to be checked than be confused.

Second... You say people in your life... family members? Is there a family history?

      Just curious.....

Does anyone know if it is required for a woman to get a gyn. exam before going to college?

      Please reply. Thank you.
