Hello i am 18. i have had this problem for two months. My period usually comes every other month. i havent had it in 2- about 3 months. im not on birth control and me and my bf dont use protection but we havent had sex in about 2 months. We tried to yesterday but i had discharge o come off on him so we didnt. What should i do? im ruining all my underwear. -
Is there a possibility you could be pregnant?
You said that you and your boyfriend don't use protection & it's been about two months since -- and it's also been about 2 months since your last period. Maybe take a pregnancy test just to rule that out?
Otherwise I'd get an appointment with your GYN (regardless) just to get everything checked out.
As far as the discharge ruining your underwear, what about a pad/liner until you can see a doctor? (& after should nothing be wrong) -
Hi,
These are some of the main problems to deal with
1. Vaginal discharge means there might be a genital infection, STD or not. Waiting is no good idea here. Book to see your doctor. You may see your family doctor or gyn if possible.
2. Possibility of pregnancy. Rather than bothering your brain, you should do a pregnancy test for yourself even tomorrow morning if you have not yet done so! Easy to do and cheap. If you are pregnant, that urine strip will tell you since the pregnancy will be more than 2 months.
3. Cycle length. I advice you to know the exact duration of your cycle. If you have been menstruating more than 2 years now, a cycle length of more than 35 days consistently may need to be discussed with your doctor. That may be oligomenorrhea, meaning fewer cycles a year.
4. Pregnancy and STD prevention. This is very important for you. You will surely not want to be embarrassed by a pregnancy or an STD. If you have not thought about using a protection, please do so for your own health. If you want to, the forum is here for more help if you ever need it.
5. Hygiene for the discharge. You have been having the symptoms for 2 months and and I guess you might have taken some hygiene measures as suggested above. You may need to do some toileting if needed to get rid of some uncomfortable odor is at all there is any.
Hope that helps you in some wayComment
