Thrush twice in 2 weeks! Why?

I haven't had thrush for years, and in my lifetime have only had it a handful of times.

After a few years of no partner or any sexual activity, I have now started a sexual relationship with someone special.

After a few dates of a bit of hands-on foreplay, I had an onset of thrush - very mild.
I took a Diflucan 1 tablet and it cleared up quickly.

Its only been 2 weeks since clearing up, and since starting having sex with this partner and I've just finished my period and have thrush again!

    Why?!
Is it the fact that my body isn't used to being touched and he may be contaminating me in some way?
    Or is it freak occurance?
I am concerned that with him being an '**** man' as he calls himself (which I am not into), he has inserted his finger into my anus a couple of times which I've said I'm not into. If he has then inserted that same finger into my vagina, could that be the reason that I have thrush?
    Could it be stress related?
I have also just started the pill for contraception, and am 5 days into it. I haven't been on the pill for about 6 years - could it be the pill that's also caused it? Maybe I should stop the pill and do IUD instead? I don't know?!

I just wanna know what the cause is so that I can avoid thrush again - I mean - Way to make a guy run!!!! He'll think I'm riddled with it! Or perhaps it's a combination of all and just ultra bad luck!

    help?

    Don't you hate that

Thrush has to be cleared by "both partners" he has it...so he is passing it back onto you, it's a never ending cycle...

In addition fingers into your anus then into your vagina IS THE REASON.

You can not put bacteria into your vagina and that is what he is doing. Then he's using himself on you again giving it back to you.

Both need treatment and he needs to use a condom for anal if you like that, then take it off for vaginal sex..

The pill is not good on-going, especially if you smoke... but it's not the reason usually.

Tight jeans, nylon knickers also cause thrush.

      Thanks CW. Appreciate advice.

I'm not into anal, and I've told him that's not gonna happen - I was 'surprised' with the finger up there - and it's not my things - so hopefully not gonna happen again. I'll be letting him know now, thanks to your confirmation on that hunch that it could be where the bad bacteria is coming from.

I haven't gone to the doctor. I went to the pharmacist who said to take some pro-biotics (Inner Health Plus), so I've purchased those, to help re-balance my Ph levels which she said was probably the most beneficial thing I could do. She said I could even place a capsule inside myself - that it can also be helpful, so I'll do that too for these first couple of days.

Other than that, I presume it's cotton undies & loose clothing for a week or so to make sure it's cleared properly.

Any other advice is welcome as I'm not accustomed to this sort of thing.
      Thanks.

Nup, cotton undies full stop, no g-strings as the bacteria travels from the um bits on the but part to your other part Known fact... and tight jeans is nylon so it also causes it, but I am thinking it's his finger from anus to vagina, tut tut... way not the way to go
