    I need help, asap!

My doctor isnt helping me at all.

I went in Tuesday to see if I had a UTI, and the test came back as negative...so she said I had a yeast infection. She gave me a fluconazole pill, and it hasn't worked... but, I didn't have the "signs" of a yeast infection in the first place.

All I have is burning while urinating and afterwards. It's really burning at the moment!!
It's not any sort of STD, was tested... I'm not pregnant, I'm clean (don't use soap down there, just cool water) and I take cranberry pills when I feel the beginning of a UTI.

I have one cipro leftover from my last uti... should I take it?

Help me! It's driving me nuts and my doctor won't answer.

Curious if you are currently sexually active and using latex condoms?

When I went through this(doctors sent me away with no answers, and nothing for the pain) I found some info on my own about latex allergies/sensitivities and how it can manifest in burning sensation when you urinate and is mistakenly assumed for a UTI.

I haven't had a problem with it since we switched to non-latex condoms.

    Just an idea.

      come to think about it

I am and I think we have been using them.
Durex? I got them from the health clinic when I was getting my depo shots.

      ANOTHER THING...
I was wondering if it could be from this.

I haven't gotten my birth control since December. (Depo) And I never had a period...
Now I'm sitting here in my chair having weird dull pains/pressure and it's cramp-like in my lower abdomen/pelvic area. Any idea?

I believe the only non-latex condom Durex makes is Avanti/Avanti Bare other non-latex are.... Trojan Supra ... and Lifestyles Skyn (these are all made out of polyurethane or polyisoprene)....and each brand definitely have a different fit... they also make Lambskin condoms... which we were going to try once but they smelled AWFUL... worse than latex.

I'm not sure that Depo would contribute to having UTI-like symptoms.... but could definitely be giving you cramping issues... might be that your body is getting ready to menstruate.

I'll try to find some...I'm getting back onto the depo shot in two weeks though. Yay! Ready to gain 800 pounds! :P Do you think me getting a period could cause it, though?

I don't really think an impending period would cause UTI like symptoms, seems that would be a hormonal thing instead of bacteria/irritant.... usually need some sort of bacteria to grow in the urethra or an irritant to get up there to have those sorts of symptoms. Maybe having intercourse while you are on your period might do something.. but if you haven't had a period since... at least before December... then I don't think that would be causing the symptoms.. but I'm also not a doctor. *shrug*
