    Unusual discharge

June 17th I experienced a sharp pain in my lower abdomen painful enough to bring me to my knees for a moment. It only lasted for maybe 30 seconds and then passed. I felt no more pain the rest of the day. Two days later (June 19th) I felt a similar pain, though not as sharp. I awoke the next morning to blood in my night gown (maybe about 1/2 teaspoon). I assumed I was starting my period early but had no other blood flow that day. Three days later I woke up at 1:30 am with the same pain accompanied by extreme diarrhea and nausea...however, no blood. The next day I had a reddish discharge. I've spotted before but this looked nothing like that. The same thing happened the next day. Finally, on June 25th, I started my period. I normally bleed for 5 days, the first two days pretty heavy and the last three very light. On the heavy days I pass substantial sized clots six to ten times a day. However, this time I bled EXTREMELY heavy for eight days, passing multiple LARGE clots daily (like the size of a matchbox car...horrible reference but I have a 5yr old stepson). After the eighth day everything ended abruptly and I never went to my GYN (really stupid, I know but I have no insurance). Two days ago (july 14th) I started having an opaque discharge and today I noticed it had a light red tint to it (I'm not due to start my period until the 27th).

I know I need to see my GYN...I'm just looking for any input on what this could possibly be so I can ask her to run test/exams for it. I go to a local clinic and she is slightly inept at her job but I can't afford much else. The first time I ever went to her about abdominal pain and severe clotting she just told me I needed to get on birth control.

    Any input would be appreciated.
    Thank you!

You really need to see your gyne, i know someone who also has the same situation though she has no period during that time and yet a huge chunk of blood came out of her vagina. Have it checked!
