I've been on my period for almost 3 weeks, it's heavy, clotting, and hurts more than anything. I'm switching over to panty liners tomorrow from the pain of a tampon being inside for days on end. What could be the cause of it lasting for 3 weeks!?

Please go to a doctor right now, to the emergencies if you have to. Losing blood for 3 weeks is very dangerous and will have more side-effects. Call a doctor RIGHT NOW!

Woah,woah,woah. Don't freak. ( I find it ironic that the former poster's name is 'stressed' no offence...but, ironic.) No need to toatally melt down. Some people bleed for days on end, but the clotting is the issue. Tampons that are painful are out of the ordinary....try organic cotton. Or just keep on kepping on with the pads. Call your doctor and explain everything and ask if you should come in for a visit yet. DO NOT FREAK OUT. If you bounce around the internet, there are many peeps in your sitch, just chillax, kay?
