    No period for 6 months....

I was on birth control for a year, then this past January I stopped taking it alltogether. The first few days I got a headache, then after that I got my period as normal. As the months went on I was only getting spots. Then it just stopped coming completely. I haven't my period whatsoever since April of this year. I still get cramps and bloating 2 weeks out of every month. Recently however I've been getting it really bad especially in my left side.
I went for an ultrasound and blood test as directed by my doctor. The results for the bloodwork was fine, ultrasound said I had a cyst though and it could possibly be a tumor (I don't remember if I read non-benign or benign, as I had just glimpsed at the computer). He is sending me to see a gyno and then for a follow up ultra in November (to see if it has gotten bigger).
I'm worried...stressed...and I don't know whats going on. Has anyone had similar experiences, or can offer me some reassurance as to what's going on and how to cope?
I know stress is a HUGE factor, but how can I not stress when it's always on my mind? I've tried occupying myself but it's always in the back of my head.

aww honey you must be feeling awful (((hug)))

I am sorry you are feeling stressed but it could actually be a tumour of endometriosis as that can be quite common. I would try not to worry too much about it and try and stay strong. I worry too much myself too and every little thing I get I think it could be serious. Is your doctor empathetic? does he/she understand how scary this is for you, I know my doctor use to reassure me and tell me that there should be nothing to wrry about.

I hope things are alright for you, I'm sorry I cant make your worry go away but with endo its NOT life threatening trust me and your symptoms does sound alot like endo so I wouldnt be surprised if it is that. Also drink lots of green tea its greatly high in antioxidants.

Thanks for the reply.. I almost had a heartattack when I read you thought I had endometriosis...but I just wiki'd it and I have none of those symptoms whatsoever, so I dont tthink it's that, though of course I could be wrong.
Also, I'm 22 and I have NEVER had sex. I went on birth control just regulate my periods and to control my acne outbreaks. (bad idea, I wish I had never gone on the stuff, but my dermatologist insisted..)

And my doctor is a not empathetic whatsoever, lol. He just says things like "youre too young, dont worry. blah blah blah, young. Blah." .

And I drink green tea all the time! I am a healthy girl, nutrition is my passion and of course I only put good things into my body.

Stars in that case unless you are feeling horribly physically unwell I dont think you have anything to worry about.
Like you said it culd be cyst, the only thing I mentioned endo is because my sister had it and the only symptom she had was pelvic pain.
For your sake I hope it is something minor, have you considered changing to a female doctor? I'm not saying that your one is very good but for a female your age you may find it more comfortable with a youngish female doctor who knows what periods feel like, that is just a thought.

Anyway honey hope things get sorted and you get good results (((hug)))

Also dont worry if it is possible endo I have suspect endo myself but not too sure yet.
