I searched through WH and tried to find answers to this question too. Does anyone have any answers?? It looks as if I'll get my monthly visitor 2 days before my wedding... EEK! Is there anything a girl can do (who is not on birth control and cannot take hormonal birth control on a regular basis) to delay her period??? -
I don't know the answer to this question but as periods and weddings go its impossible to plan around them.
My wedding should have been a week after my period. But 2 months before my wedding my period stopped. I ended up getting it 2 days into our honey moon at the water park... Waiting in line! I wouldn't stress, your cycle might be off a few days by that time.Comment

You will need to consult with a physician. Anything you could get will require a prescription there is no such thing that stops a period that you can get over the counter in a random pharmacy. Birth control is pretty much the only thing that will work the best though. There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.Comment

I just don't want to have my period on my wedding day (not because of sex), but because my bridemaids would have an even bigger tasks of holding my dress up so I don't get blood on it (I know, I'm probably way off base, BUT STILL!!) I usually have a pretty heavy flow and my tampons leak at random times. It's just a fear I have.Comment

Anecdotal evidence will tell you that some things can bring your period on faster, I believe ginger tea is supposed to do it. But I can't tell from experience; I've never done it. Supposing they work, you could get your period before the incompatible date, but not after.
Nature gives us shapeless shapes,
Clouds and waves and flame,
But human expectation is that love remains the same,
And when it doesn’t, we point our fingers and blame.
Register|Contact Admin|Email Admin
Comment

Also, you could always get pregnant :P But I think that might defeat the purpose.
Nature gives us shapeless shapes,
Clouds and waves and flame,
But human expectation is that love remains the same,
And when it doesn’t, we point our fingers and blame.
Register|Contact Admin|Email Admin
Comment

I feel as if I've heard about this somewhere, but I honestly can't remember what it was!! I know how you feel though, I'm about to go on vacation & it's just scheduled right around that same time. I take Progesterone so I can usually tell when I'm going to get it pretty solidly as I know what day into me taking the hormone it'll show up, but things still can sometimes throw me off. Stress seems to always bring it on so I guess it's inevitable! If only we could find ways to successfully schedule things, but it's a shame to try & schedule your wedding about when your period will show up
I'm sorry you have to deal with that! I've heard as well that ginger can help bring it on, but I dont know if that's just an old wives tale or not.
