Could having two infections at the same time be because of HIV?

I had a yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis at the same time along with chlamydia about 6 months ago, and now I have bv and a yeast infection again along with a UTI. Could this be because I have a new sex partner? Or a symptom of HIV? I am very worried.

HIV takes a long long time to develop, simply having common infections is not indicative of HIV. Only a doctor can tell you if you have HIV or not. New sex partners can cause you to get a sexual infection such as chlamydia, while yeast, BV and UTIs are more due to hygiene or just simply your body reacting to certain foods or even being more stressed out.

Yes several years. Abnormal paps are so common that it would be almost uncommon not to have one come back as abnormal. They come back saying abnormal simply because cells look funny compared to other cells, that happens a lot to begin with. Then if there is yeast present it can come back as abnormal, or BV. It is really not a thing to be worried about unless your doctor specifically tells you something should cause worry. Undue worry only creates more problems, so just take the antibiotics or creams the doctor gives and use them accordingly.

I agree. I've had a yeast infection, BV and UTI all at the same time. Doesn't indicate HIV at all. If you are truly worried or feel you've ever been exposed, you should probably get tested for it, but those symptoms are not uncommon. Many women get more than 1 infection at a time. Soemtimes you get one because of the other.

Well if you've had unprotected sex and haven't been tested since then within the last 2 years I would certainly suggest you do. It's for your overall health and for the health of your future partners. I've been tested several times in my life and I haven't had many partners, it's just part of being responsible for your sexual health.

Did you ever get tested? I'm going through the same thing right now, BV and yeast infection plus something called mycoplasma and have the same fears. Thanks for responding!
