I just turned 18 and ever since I got my period.. I've had irregular periods.
This month, I was two weeks late and had such serious cramps I had to go to the hospital. (I've had my appendix taken out and these cramps were honestly WORSE than an exploding appendix.) I was bleeding incredibly heavy for me as well. The doctor just gave me pain killers and did a urine sample to make sure I wasn't pregnant.
Lately sex has been really really uncomfortable, more like painful for me. I keep trying.. hoping it will feel better but it doesn't.

Are these two things related? What do you think is wrong with me?

I am not sure if the two are related. I would set up an appointment with your gyno and talk to them about it. It could be related, or it might not be, but it's better to know for sure.

Like Lizzard said, I'd probably get into see a gyno for an exam and all that.
