Bleeding for 2 weeks
I had a D&C about 2 months ago due to some medical issues. I bled very little after. About 2 weeks ago, my period started. It has been very heavy and shows no signs of stopping. Do I just wait it out, or should I make an appointment with my doctor? Also, I do not have any medical insurance at this time. -
Hmmm, I'd get this checked out. During a D&C the interior of the uterus is scrapped and perhaps there is an area that was scrapped too much. During the normal shedding of the lining of the uterus it may have disturbed a small blood clot or abraded area hence the continual bleeding. That which we forget may as well never really happened. -
Considering you have no medical insurance, you may want to first call the doctor's office you had this done at and ask if your situation sounds normal. After getting your answer, you can decide whether to seek medical attention.
In the event that you DO need to see the doctor, you can usually go to a state-funded clinic that will have you pay on a sliding scale. Planned Parenthood, if it exists in your area, may also be an option. If push comes to shove, you can go to the emergency room and worry about the bill later, but they may not be equipped to really help you.
Nature gives us shapeless shapes,
Clouds and waves and flame,
But human expectation is that love remains the same,
And when it doesn’t, we point our fingers and blame.
Register|Contact Admin|Email Admin
Comment
