Hi, I want to know if I should go to the doctor or wait to see if this just goes away on its own...

About two weeks ago, I had sex with an ex boyfriend and it was extremely painful, especially with deep penetration. Sex with him before was always just really good, so that was weird...

Anyway, I started my period not long after, and it was normal for me and lasted two days with little cramping. A few days after it stopped, (no spotting or discharge), I started having brown vaginal discharge that has a really strong odor.

I'm worried that something is wrong, but I haven't had unprotected sex in over 6 months, so I don't think it's an STI... I hope.

Any input would be very helpful!
