    Constant Bleeding "Between" Periods!!

Hi Ladies, Ok I'm new to this whole forum thing and not really sure how it works but I am beyond frustrated and stressed due to this ever so annoying problem!! I have noticed a few similar posts on here but think perhaps mine is a little different.
So I have PCOS and went through most of puberty and my teenage years completely period-less, Until my GP suggested I go on the pill. Long story short; I tried out many different types of the pill until I found one that suited. After coming out of a relationship with my ex boyfriend I decided to stop taking them because I was forever forgetting the odd pill and messing up my cycle completely. (Decided to come off about a year ago)

After coming off the pill I started getting a period about once every 3 months, Until recently I got one which lasted about 3weeks, So went to the doctor and asked to be put back onto the pill that previously worked (Loestrin 30)
(I was still on the 3week period when I went to my GP) Started taking the pill immediately and stuck to it, Took it everyday at the same time.

I'm now nearing my break for the 1st month and the period is STILL here! Which means it's coming up to about 6 weeks! And I'm not just talking about the odd breakthrough, This is a constant full on period. It's very draining both physically and emotionally.

I want to know is there anything I can do to stop it?
Is it bad for my health to have been bleeding for this amount of time?
Is this a complication from my PCOS?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks, G x

It can be really stressfull to have problems like this and I am so sorry I have no useful advice to you but I did want to drop a note to say please see your doctor and get yourself checked out. Whilst the members here can offer their life experience they can't see you, not are most of them qualified doctors. Bleeding irregularly (anything that is not normal for you) can be a sign of underlying problems so it's best to get checked out. It seems likely you are just suffering the after effects of coming off your pill but it won't hurt to make sure. Also if you are tired it may be that you are low on iron and perhaps a little anaemic, your doctor can prescribe iron tablets at the correct dosage if this is the case and you'll soon start feeling better. Good luck
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

This is a serious problem. I remember I can a friend that had her period constantly like that. And what they did was that one procedure, cannot remember the name, but it's where they pretty much scrape your insides. I know it is done after a miscarriage or abortion. But you know what, it's just the price us ladies pay for putting hormones into our bodies and messing up our natural systems.
