A Disturbing PMS Statistic Every Woman Needs To Know!

We are anxious to start menstruating when we are young and know no better because it is all a mystery. But boy oh boy when we finally get it, there is no point of return!

It is not so intriguing as we thought it would be. PMS pain affects most if not all women at one time or another. I have literally wished I was dead after feeling some of the most unbearable cramps and bloating. And since I am VERY pain intolerant, marking the calender to see when my next PMS war would come to invade my body was a painful task.

Something I thought of that you should know…

Did you know that the average woman will suffer PMS torment for at least 2,592 DAYS out of her entire life?

Yes, 2,592 DAYS!!! And it could be MORE…

Let’s say a female starts menstruating at the age of 14 and stops at 50. The average period lasts about 6 days.

    So, that’s 36 years of torment for 72 (12 months * 6 days) days a year.

So about 72 days * 36 years = 2,592 DAYS of PMS pain!

That is way too many days to spend your life in a returning, predictable pain! And this is not counting females who start menstruating at an earlier age. And some women menstruate longer than 6 days. Some have extreme cases of fibroid issues or other issues that can facilitate bleeding for weeks even!

It is interesting how something this drastic that affects all women can be so little talked about. It is like a silent pain. Some women feel like it is a part of life and there is nothing they can do about it. But I know from my own personal experience you CAN beat PMS torment with some incredibly simple changes to your diet and lifestyle. I am very against birth control and medicine in general (unless there is something drastic) for most, but not all cases. In terms of regulating your period and making it PAINLESS, this is indeed very easily possible using all natural methods involving using stuff from your grocery store.

What are your comments on this statistic?

Goodness that's depressing! I rarely get any painful symptoms (more frequently every year as I age, sadly) but I do get hormonal imbalances leaving me touchy and spotty! Plus mine started when I was 12! I'm so glad I have my coping techniques (in the other thread!)
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

Not really disturbing considering menstruation is a fact of life lol, it is more disturbing to realize how many days in total we women are stuck with periods in the first place lol. Menstrual cycles are annoying and unwanted sure but not all women experience horrific symptoms that leave one completely incapacitated. There are also a lot of women who learn to manage pain, are not bothered by pain, or simply take an advil and they are ready to go. I personally only experience a little bit of bloating and very little cramping if any. Not a big bothersome thing to me by any means.

Littlepip: It's good to know you rarely get painful symptoms and have your coping techniques.

Itsasecret: That's an excellent point that it is more so disturbing to know we are stuck with periods, period lol. It's great to know you are not bothered by it.
