My last period started on 7/30. I began spotting today which I never do, in fact, since th my period has been running a few days late (about 4-5 days from day 28) since the beginning of the year. I'm also running to bath room like I do before when i'm retaining water I've been losing weight for close to year, going to a gym 2-3 days a week along with a lot of walking. I've lost about 35 lbs, I'm in the high 130s or low 140s now. There hasn't been any major stress lately. I'm confused.

Very Unusual

Sometimes women spot when they are ovulating. Right now would be sort of mid-cycle for you and could be possible that you're ovulating. Are you sexually active right now? If so, what type of protection do you use? If you don't use a reliable form of birth control it could be a sign of implantation bleeding from pregnancy, but if you do have safe sex, I would think it's from ovulation. Sometimes when you lose weight or exercise a lot it can throw off your cycle. I know when I hit the gym hard for the first time I was 2 weeks late. This happened to me twice when I took a break from the gym and went back...it made my cycle 2 weeks late again. Exercise can play a big role in menstration sometimes. If I were you, I would wait for your period, if it doesn't come take a home pregnancy test...if it does come, I'd chalk it up to ovulation. -
Thanks for the info. Hubby and I use condoms there was a change from Durex Avantis to Trioan Magnums in the last few weeks. I'm 36 and this has never happened when I ovulate. Now I'm wondering I had a solid. run of 2-3 workout day weeks last week I was only able to go once. but one week wouldn't make a big change. If it is my period I'm not arguing with Mother Nature, it's great week for it to happen due to circumstances at hubby's job he'll be too tired for sex

It was something else entirely, a urinary tract infection. I misinterpreted the symptoms, when I saw blood i assumed ir was coming from the usual place. The symptoms were non existent on Tuesday, but came back with a vengeance yesterday. I went to urgent care this morning. The doc called it a "rip-roaring" (exact phrasing) urinary tract infection Got antibiotics, twice a day for 3 days.Comment
