I've been having pregnancy symptoms since last month. And they all appeared maybe 2-3 days AFTER my period, which I remember questioning because the blood was really dark (sorry if that's TMI). But I got really bad pressure headaches, extreme fatigue, bloating, mood swings, tingling/heavier breasts, etc. I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. Since then I've been having really bad nausea and bloating after my meals. I'm now at the end of my period for this month which was extremely dark again and lighter than usual. I've now had 4-5 tests that have all come out negative. The weirdest thing is maybe a week or two ago a linea nigra appeared with dark spots on my stomach! Which is the ONLY thing that makes me think I HAVE to be pregnant, right?? But I'm still getting my period! Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Why would a linea nigra suddenly appear with no pregnancy?

Having a "period" does not mean you're not pregnant. Honestly, with all your symptoms if it were me I'd be going in and getting a blood test to be sure. One way or another you need to know what is going on with your body.

I know there's still a chance I'm pregnant I'm just thinking of what's more likely than not, and there's a ton of other reasons that make me believe I'm most likely not pregnant. I have my annual appointment already scheduled with my Dr. for next month but I'm not sure if whatever's going on, pregnant or not, is serious enough for me to see him sooner. I plan on calling his office tomorrow to speak to someone but I'm interested to know if any women have experienced anything similar and what it turned out to be. Thank you for your feedback.

hi staarlight... my close friend is having the same symptoms that you mentions...can i know what happened when you went to doctor? was it positive ?

I wish someone would've replied on this old post..I have a linea nigra that recently appeared, having FEW pregnancy symtpoms. Not normal periods for 2-3 months. Based off my last normal period, I'd be 16 weeks maybe. Going to the dr but would've loved to known the outcome to this so I can know what to expect.

Pregnancy symptoms are hormone symptoms. Anything causing hormonal imbalance can cause such symptoms. Blood tests should be run to determine whether it is an odd pregnancy or some type of disorder that needs treated.

I understand that kira which is why I'll be seeing my obgyn Thursday Some tell me that some women can randomly become irregular for no reason but my intuition just tells me something is off with my body that needs to be checked out. Had I noticed the linea nigra back in June when I saw my primary, I would've mentioned it to him but at the time I didn't and I regualarly check my body since I have a lot of birthmarks and moles that I check to make sure they are changing so I'm positive it's not always been as noticeable as now or at least not dark enough to noticed.
