Sexually intercourse is becoming more and more difficult. I feel pain inside with intercourse. I question if the vaginal canal is like a slouching sock. My husband's penis seems to catch or bump into something. A couple of years a go it would happen now and then. Now it seems to be all the time. I used to squeeze his penis while inside. I found it helpful for me to achieve orgasm. About 6 months ago, I was doing this and there was an incredible pain that put an immediate stop to the lovemaking.
I went to my GP for an internal exam and was told that she couldn't see anything abnormal. Lubricant is not the issue.
My husband describes the event as it feels like something is flicking the end of his penis. To me it feels like a knocking or banging sensation. It is not romantic or sexy at all.
Does anyone have any suggestions of what this is a what I should do next?

The angle at which he is thrusting may be entirely directed to your cervix. Does this happen in any but the missionary position? Perhaps a slight angle to either side or a change in body position may be in order. I don't know your age, but like any muscle in the body, it will go through changes, through age, childbirth, amount of hormones etc. Try other positions and see what happens.

Thank you for that. Yes it seems to always in the "missionary position." I am 55 and have had 2 children. We have been married for 16 years. I am loosing interest but I am not sure if it is boredom, hormonal, fear of pain or lack of sexual satisfaction.
