Extremely heavy painful periods
Hi, long story but here goes! I had my youngest 3 1/2 yrs ago and bled pretty much constantly for a year after, drs kept telling me it was nothing to worry about, they eventually got back to normal (28 days) since them they've gradually been getting heavier an more painful, (sorry if tmi) last one was 10 days heavy, all through the month I have abdominal cramps, low back pain and pain in my legs, before I come on I suffer with palpitations and my drs don't seem to want to do anything, am I over reacting or should they be doing something? -

To be honest. I've been on the Pill since I was 14 because of heavy periods. Consider it. If you have feelings against it then use the mini Pill which makes your periods less painful but doesn't cover your contraception.Comment

If you're looking for a natural remedy to try, I would highly recommend taking 1 tsp of ground turmeric in the morning with lukewarm water. You can gradually build your way up to 2 tsp a day of it. Before meals. This is a blood thinner and will help with pain and heavy bleeding.
Get it from the Indian Store or a natural food store for stronger strains of it.
Of course this is not guaranteed to help as more tests need to be run by your doctors to see what issues are going on, but this helps me.Comment
