Should I be concerned if my period is two months late?

Hello everyone. I'm 15 and started my period in December 2012. My periods have been a little irregular. I never know when to expect it. I've had it every month since December but it skipped in March. And now, I haven't had it since the middle of august. Should I be concerned or not?

Sometimes it takes you a while after you start having periods for your cycles to regularize. Some women will never be perfectly regular. I started my periods around age 12 and they were both heavy and pretty irregular until I went on the pill to regulate them.

I wouldn't worry just yet, but if you don't get one in another month or two you might want to tell your mom and maybe consider starting your annual gynocological checkup, just to give you peace of mind.

Don't be scared that you're late, but as it was said, you should consider seeing a gynecologist. It is not something you should be afraid of. Sure, it is something new, but all the gynecologists will be happy to consult you and give you as much information about your body and everything that is related to it.
There can be a lot of things that made you late: eating habits, stress, changes in your sleep time and also it can be a pregnancy.

Ilovepeaches, when I was your age my periods were often irregular. It's normal for the first few years after getting your first period. Personally I never took or did anything to address the issue. Things balanced out for me after a few years.

It's not uncommon for periods to be irregular, especially in the first few years after they start. Hormonal fluctuations can cause missed periods, but it's always good to rule out any underlying issues. If your period continues to be irregular or if you're concerned, consider discussing it with a healthcare professional for reassurance and guidance.
