    IS THIS NORMAL?

Um hi.. this is a bit embarrassing to share with you all but I'm a bit too shy to discuss it with my mom or talk to a doctor so.. here we go.
First of all, my name is Autumn and I'm fourteen years old.
Lately ive been bleeding irregularly from (down there)..
It hasn't been very heavy but its not exactly spotting either.
Usually I've bled after bowel movements, orgasms, or just randomly.
At first I guessed I was just starting my period (this would be my first time ever having a period) so I retrieved a few of my mom's pads (because I was too scared to tell her) and wore them.
There is no pain or cramps from it so I'm not sure what's going on and it's been worrying me.
I'm just worried it's something serious and I'd rather speak to someone about it before confronting my mom or a doctor.
    PLEASE HELP! THANK YOU.

Well normally I'd say you were just starting your period, mine didn't start until I was 14 and didn't become regular for another year, however, bleeding after orgasms and BMs isn't so regular. So I have to ask, are you using anything internally? If you are is there any blood on it when you are done? And finally, when you wipe after a BM is there any blood on the tp? If the answer is yes to the second or third question you NEED to talk to a doc. Are there any Planned Parenthood offices near you? If so go there, they don't judge and can answer any questions you have. If not you still need to see a GYN, you'll probably be most comfortable with a younger female, so tell your mom that you are spotting and it's time to get your 1st check up and then talk to the doc.
I know a lot of this stuff is embarrassing and you can get answers to a lot of questions anonymously here BUT you have to get that bleeding checked, health 1st darlin'! After you're sure you're ok you can bring any embarrassing questions here, we'll answer openly and honestly without judging.

There is no blood after a BM, it's only coming from my (you know)
I'm just really scared to confront my mom or a doctor about it...

Well if you're not using anything internally then you're most likely just fine. It's probably just the muscle contractions pushing out the little bit of blood that's there in the uterus.
You still should go and get your 1st GYN exam. And if there is ANY chance of hooking up with someone you'll need to get on B/C soon, even if you don't see yourself hooking up with anyone B/C can help to regulate your period or keep you from getting one if you're athletic and it getting it would interfere with or make sports more difficult.

Are you still there..? Sorry about my pushy-ness, I'm just extremely worried and I REALLY need to talk to someone about this to ease my mind a bit.

          EDIT:
Sorry, I didn't see your message when I posted this.
I'll make sure to talk to my mom about this (if I manage the courage to)...
I just hope it's nothing really serious?

Sorry doll, I was writing. Try not to sweat talking to your mom. All you really need to tell her is that you've started spotting and you should probably get a GYN exam. She's been there, lol. You can tell her what your preference is for a GYN and for sure tell her you'll be going in alone (if she seems like she'd want to go in with you) so that you can talk freely with the doctor. Well as freely as your embarrassment will allow. I think nearly every girl is terribly embarrassed when they first start their cycle and MORTIFIED when they have to go see and talk to the GYN. Take deep breaths you'll be fine. It's uncomfortable and weird having someone touch you so impersonally in such a private place, and for some women it never gets less weird or uncomfortable, but for most of us, you kinda get used to it. Hopefully you'll have a friendly approachable GYN that you can ask at least a couple of questions, write down the questions that are most important to you so you don't freeze and forget. We can make guesses and offer reassurance here about health issues, but only a doc can look and see and be sure.
If you have general sex or body questions however, we'll gladly chime in and try to answer them for you. I think every young person should have a person or a place like this to go to to get frank answers. Believe me, with all the different people from different backgrounds on here someone will have been there, done that and be able to give you at least something to go on.

Good luck getting your courage up to talk to your mom and the GYN. 'Find your bravery' as my little one likes to say. She loses it sometimes, but she always finds it again eventually
