Hello! I'd just like to start off by saying that I'm irregular. My period usually starts every 27-29 days. However, it's been 32 days so far. Is it normal for someone to be late like this when they are irregular? Or should I be concerned enough to go buy a pregnancy test?

Irregular means you don't get it a certain number of days apart. I would call every 27-29 actually pretty good. Few people have a perfect cycle through their life. It's especially common for it to change and fluctuate through teenage years and sometimes in to early 20s. Now mine was irregular. I would go 3-4months and then bleed tons. Maybe have my period 3 weeks later. 3 months later. 2 months later. It was entirely random. I never had a clue it was coming. I'd just be doing something and go to the bathroom to find I was about to leak through my pants again. I made lots of emergency toilet paper pads until I just started carrying small tampons and liners all the time that would at least get me through a few hours.

But is there any reason for concern? Is this normal?

Pregnancy tests aren't expensive. If you are concerned get one. I never had regular periods.

I don't know. Have you had unprotected sex? You can't really get pregnant without having unprotected sex and if you've had unprotected sex you should take a test as early as the instructions say you can.

You can most definitely get pregnant even if you use a condom or on bc. Nothing is 100%
