I started my period on the Fourth of July ( which sucked but you know how mother nature is ) and it ended the following Tuesday ( so the 7th of July. ) Soon after, I ended up starting to get some dark brown discharge and I just thought it was normal because every once and a while it happens. I know what it is, because I've searched it before, but I've never had it for almost a week later.

I don't know if this could be a reason, but I am on the Patch and recently got switched over to the off brand ( Ortho-Evra to Xulane ) and ended up skipping my period in June with the patch. Could it just be all the old blood that didn't come out from the period I missed or should I be starting to worry? Sometimes it'll stop for a couple hours, or like yesterday where it disappeared almost altogether.

It's probably due to the change in patch. If there is no itching or bad smell then it's just old blood as you said. It can take a few months for your body to get used to a new hormone setup...its strange that you see a difference between ortho and xulane as the hormonal content should be identical but perhaps the absorption is different.

It was just making me a bit nervous because I've never had this happen before. It's seeming to stop which is a relief, I'm tired of seeing it.
