I don't know if this could be a reason, but I am on the Patch and recently got switched over to the off brand ( Ortho-Evra to Xulane ) and ended up skipping my period in June with the patch. Could it just be all the old blood that didn't come out from the period I missed or should I be starting to worry? Sometimes it'll stop for a couple hours, or like yesterday where it disappeared almost altogether.

Brown Discharge For a Week After Period
I started my period on the Fourth of July ( which sucked but you know how mother nature is ) and it ended the following Tuesday ( so the 7th of July. ) Soon after, I ended up starting to get some dark brown discharge and I just thought it was normal because every once and a while it happens. I know what it is, because I've searched it before, but I've never had it for almost a week later.

It's probably due to the change in patch. If there is no itching or bad smell then it's just old blood as you said. It can take a few months for your body to get used to a new hormone setup...its strange that you see a difference between ortho and xulane as the hormonal content should be identical but perhaps the absorption is different.“...choose to believe in your own myth
