3 years of extreme vaginal thrush/something else and no answers..

    Hi.

I'm 20 years old and have had extreme thrush for about 3 and a half years now.

I have been to 4 different gynaecologists/specialists and they have all told me the same thing- don't eat sugar, don't eat yeast, exercise, use canasten cream, wear cotton underwear, don't wear tight clothing, don't use soap etc. None of these have worked for me. I have even tried a chinese medicine approach, however this only helped the symptoms and the actual cause.

I have had several tests done for different things and again no answers. I have been told that I have thrush as well as another vaginal bug which is causing the odor.

I tend to have really bad stages where I end up making myself bleed and can't sleep, however everyday it is always itchy, theres a discharge and is extremely uncomfortable.

Although it has affected me physically, it has also affected me mentally now as well as it is so incredibly frustrating that there has been absolutely no treatment that has helped.

I'm just wondering whether there is anyone who is going through or has been through what I am? This has taken quite a toll and am struggling so any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you

Have you tried gentian violet? It's an old time remedy that isn't used very much these days, but is still on the WHO list. Search for it in Wikipedia. Here is a thread on one lady's experience: https://www.womens-health.com/boards...ush-yeast.html .
