    Bumps and tenderness? Yeast infection?

    Hello all!

Okay, I have had this issue for a few days now. It started off as a few red bumps on my pubic mound and I thought it was a bad razor burn. But then I noticed that they had white heads on them. Well I thought I would ignore it and see what happened for a day. They spread a little and a few developed on my labia making it a little swollen and uncomfortable.

I came off of antibiotics about a week ago and I have an IUD so I know I am susceptible to infections and such. I have never had a yeast infection but I think this is what this is. I took Monostat 1, the one with the ovule, last night before bed and I checked today and it looks like these bumps have a pitted look in the middle of them now, hopefully meaning they are healing?

Does this sound like a yeast infection? Are these bumps in a healing process? I am going to an amusement park/water park tomorrow and don't want this to ruin my fun! :/

Any advice is very appreciated. Thank you!

Yeast infections generally exhibit in the vagina until it gets really bad. I think I'd have a test for any STD's or HPV as a just in case. It could easily be just a bout of folliculitis and if you leave the area alone (don't shave etc) for a while, it may clear up. However the only way to really know is to contact your physician or gyno and see what they say.
That which we forget may as well never really happened.

Unfortunately I leave tomorrow morning for my vacation and was really hoping to get this nixed quick. The bumps do seem to be healing, and they aren't as sensitive. I am not going to shave or anything for a while, and I have found some remedies online to soothe the area and help with the bumps.

If in doubt put sudocrem on the bumps. It is really good for pretty much any skin complaint. Doesn't sound like yeast to me, more like ingrown hairs or folliculitis as mentioned above. Antibiotics were probably staving off the bacteria.
