Found out I have Chlamydia and I'm afraid? :(

So I was in a relationship from February to June with my current boyfriend with one break in between. We broke up for about a week in early May. During that time he slept with his ex. We ended up getting back together and then broke up again in early June. I have a really good guy friend (lets call him Guy B) that I've known for a while and after me and my boyfriend broke up I definitely looked to him to cheer me up. Bad mistake. I found out multiple times that he was talking to other girls while being with me and in the last few days of our relationship lied to me immensely saying he was not at a certain place when he was. He ended up meeting a girl on there and I logged onto facebook and found out he was in a relationship with another girl. WHAT?!

Anyways, a bunch of girls came out of the woodwork saying that Guy B had also been talking to them at one point and never even broke up with them, just stopped talking to them. I was just shocked because this guy was one of my best friends and I never knew he was this cruel. Obviously I was naive to believe the whole "I'll treat you so good" blah blah blah. One of the girls I talked to told me to watch out because she heard he had Chlamydia. The moment I heard that I got out of bed so fast and called my gyno and made an appointment that day to get tested. I called Guy B and asked him point blank if he had it and not even to bother lying because I will get test results. He told me he absolutely does not have it and he's gotten tested recently and even came back negative. I assumed he hadn't lied to me and we left it at that. I've now gotten back together with my boyfriend from January-June.

I told him I just found out I do have chlamydia and he was surprisingly understanding. He said he also had it two years ago because his ex-girlfriend gave it to him. But he absolutely got it treated and even after sleeping with her in May got tested again and it was negative. Of course he could be lying about getting tested again. What if he didn't get tested again and she reinfected him? She could've easily gotten it again in the last 3 years. I feel like if my boyfriend did give me chlamydia from sleeping with his ex and if Guy B is being honest with me about getting tested, Guy B's test would have come out positive since I slept with him AFTER my boyfriend. I also think it's just too much of a concidence that there was a rumor going around that Guy B had chlamydia and oh how mysterious I now have it. I guess I'll never know who gave it to me.

I'm just worried about the infertility part. The longest my chlamydia could have gone undetected would be 6 months and thats only if it was my current boyfriend who gave it to me. The shortest it could have gone undetected would be 2 months and thats if Guy B gave it to me. I guess the more likely case is that Guy B gave it to me. But for both cases, could I now be infertile?

My boyfriend has completely calmed me down by explaining it's a really common STI and there's nothing to be embarrassed about and this does not change his feelings for me in any way shape or form. I was a complete mess last night because it's just really scary finding out you have and STI but I'm very lucky to have my boyfriend as he also told me he'd be there every step of the way.

I'm also aware that its the PID that causes the infertility. I have no symptoms of PID at all and didn't even have any symptoms of Chlamydia (I know most people don't) but yeah the only reason I got tested was because I heard a rumor. I really don't think I have PID unless that also shows no symptoms. I have no abdominal pain, no fever, no unusual discharge, no pain during sex, no burning during urination, and no bleeding in between periods. Can PID go undetected too?

OK, first of all, take a deep breath. STIs are really common. I mean REALLY COMMON. You can get it from skin to skin contact so even if you were wearing a condom, it's possible to get one. So you really don't know who gave it to you. It is totally possible that you gave it to your bf or guy B. So the learning here is always use protection. Condoms aren't 100% but they are the best.

Second, whenever starting a new relationship, always get tested, both you and him. It is just good practice.
